
A recent survey of the industrial packaging industry shows that multi-layer co-extruded PE valve bags have emerged as the optimal packaging solution for long-term storage of granular materials, thanks to their advantages of moisture resistance, acid and alkali resistance, excellent sealing performance, and compatibility with automated filling. These bags are now widely used in multiple sectors including chemicals, rubber & plastics, agricultural supplies, building materials, and animal feed.
Rubber and plastic granules are the primary applicable products, covering PP, PE, ABS, TPU resin pellets, EVA granules, and rubber additive granules. The PE material does not react chemically with plastic raw materials and can block moisture to prevent granule caking. For chemical granules, including water treatment resin granules, flame retardant granules, and inorganic salt crystal granules, the bags’ corrosion resistance makes them suitable for storing most neutral and weakly alkaline chemical granules.
In the agricultural supplies sector, the bags are ideal for water-soluble fertilizer granules, slow-release compound fertilizers, and seed granules, with their self-sealing valve design preventing fertilizer failure caused by moisture absorption. They are also well-suited for feed granules, mineral abrasive granules, and activated carbon granules.
Compared with traditional paper bags, PE valve bags feature superior compression and puncture resistance, form a neat square shape after filling, resist damage during stacked storage, and can be customized with anti-static, anti-slip, and micro-ventilated functions.
Industry insiders note that with the capacity expansion of downstream chemical and new material industries, demand for recyclable PE valve bags continues to rise. Customized modified products tailored to different granular materials will become a key focus of industry research and development.
